This piece is a bowl made in Mexico, purchased by my Grandma and Grandad Kerr...Rose and Vergil. They used to vacation there alot and my grandad probably used it as an ashtray. It is 7" from head to tail and about 5.5" from side to side. The height is 4.5". I believe it is made of earthenware with handpainted details in slip with a clear glaze on the inside. The outer surface is unglazed, but the bottom has the location of it's creation written on it...The School of Painting and Culture, Durango [Mexico].
